Admissions FAQ
We're here to help!
The information below can help answer some of the most common questions families have about applying to AISK. If you have any other questions or want to discuss any aspect of the process, please be in touch with the Admissions Office: admissions@aisk.com or 876.702.2070. Or, if you prefer, please submit an online inquiry form and let us know how we can help you. Thank you for your interest!
As soon as you think you want your child to attend AISK. Whether you are international or local, there are no limitations on when you can inquire. No local address is needed to get started. All applications are evaluated individually, and every admissions decision is based on a combination of personal qualification and available space.
We accept applications throughout the school year. Students entering the International Baccalaureate Diploma program must be enrolled by the second week of the first semester of Grade 11.
Absolutely! In addition we also encourage you to take advantage of our “Spend a Day at AISK" program. Click on the link to schedule a Spend the Day appointment or contact the admissions office to set up a meeting.
Yes. We only evaluate applications once all the required information has been received.
If your child is accepted, but there is no space available in the assigned grade, we can place the student on a wait list until a space becomes available. In this case, you will be required to pay a nonrefundable, non transferable deposit to reserve your child’s spot. As soon as a place becomes available you will be contacted, and your child may begin attending classes as soon as possible.
Each student's record is considered carefully, and grades are assigned conservatively, to ensure students get the full benefit of education. Students may not immediately be promoted to the next grade level, as it could mean skipping as much as a full semester of that year's work. For example, students who finish a grade in their home country in December may augment their learning with an additional semester at that same grade level at AISK.

While this can be disappointing, our grade assignments are designed to fill any gaps in learning and/or process. Any exceptions to this policy are determined by the Principal on the basis of school records, the applicant's age, and the results of the placement evaluation.
On a visit to AISK you will be matched with a student ambassador for the day and spend a "day-in-the-life" of one of our students. We hope that your time on our campus will allow you to get to know our school and our students, to meet faculty, and to understand if this is the right place for you.
As you plan your visit, the Admissions Office will be in touch with you to provide a specific schedule and more details for your day. Please note: The dress code at AISK is a polo shirt with pants/skirt/knee length walking shorts and sneakers. The aim is to be comfortable to take part in all the activities.
