I am an experienced international educator who has worked in seven countries as a High School Chemistry teacher and Administrator. My experience is in multiple programs, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and both Australian and US Curricula. I am an International Baccalaureate school evaluator for the Diploma Program and have also evaluated schools with the Council of International Schools. My original degree in Science means that I look at the world in a scientific way and I value research. This diverse array of experiences brings to me a wide perspective of what outstanding education looks like, whilst also defining my beliefs. 

I began working at AISK in 2013 as a relief Receptionist and was shortly recruited as Administrative Assistant to the incoming Head of School.  Since then I have worked with two other Heads of School over 7 years. 

Prior to being at AISK, I spent many years in the airline industry and then as Office Manager/Paralegal in a law firm. I possess diplomas in Marketing and in Paralegal Studies.

I get great pleasure watching the students blossom from fledglings to eagles, spreading their wings and soaring whether in the arts or academia, or just generally busting out of their shells with such wonderment, and thriving in an environment which teaches them to think critically.  Seeing the children's eager faces each day brings such joy and sunshine to my life.  My daily dose is interaction, no matter how fleeting or casual, with students.

 I am proud to be a part of culture that readies our learners for the global stage and teaches diversity. Just by sheer dint of being in an international community, on a beautiful campus where we coexist with approximately 40 nationalities, makes each day like a breath of fresh air with continuing life lessons.

 I am an avid music fan, whether live or recorded.  I serve on the Board of The Vinyl Record Collectors Association, a non-profit organization whose members collect and play vinyl records as a hobby.  Profits raised from the events we host in North America, Canada and Jamaica are donated to institutions that promote education and music.  A few of the charities in Jamaica which have benefitted are Boys Town Skills Training Center, The Alpha Institute and Chetolah Park Primary School.
