My name is Leroy Hoyte. I am extremely excited to be teaching English and Social Studies to Middle and Senior School learners next academic year.
I am from the England, UK. For the past two decades, I have had the privilege to teach a range of learners and be part of leadership teams in urban and inclusive school settings in London. Currently, I conclude my fourth year at the British International School, Sierra Leone in West Africa. The ability to work in different education systems has enabled me to grow professionally, foster relations, share best practice, and collaborate with many wonderful and inspiring leaders, teachers, learners, and families. I look forward to continuing this pathway; being part of, learning from and collaborating with AISK’s dynamic, diverse, and inclusive learning community.
One fun fact I would like to share, is that I attended Michael Jackson’s ‘Dangerous Tour’ concert back in 1992. It remains one of my best concert experiences to date.

My name is Liliana Andrea Daza, and I am delighted to be joining AISK as a Spanish and Social Studies teacher. I am moving from China to Jamaica with my family and am the proud mother of three daughters.
Originally from Colombia, I bring over 18 years of experience in international education. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching in several countries and working with students from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds. These experiences have strengthened my passion for helping young people become confident, curious, and globally minded learners.
A fun fact about me is that I am a certified Pilates instructor and have been practicing Pilates for more than 20 years. I enjoy staying active, traveling, and discovering new cultures, all of which continue to inspire both my personal and professional life.
What I am most looking forward to at AISK is becoming part of a new school community and getting to know the students, families, and colleagues who make it unique. Moving to a new country is an exciting experience, and I am eager to learn more about Jamaica while sharing my own international experiences with others.
I am especially excited about teaching students from diverse backgrounds and helping them make meaningful connections between language, history, culture, and the world around them. Building positive relationships with students has always been one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching for me, and I look forward to contributing both inside and outside the classroom.
I am thrilled to be joining the AISK family and look forward to meeting everyone in the coming months.

Exercise, sports and being healthy are very important to human development. AISK has ensured that programmes are put in place to assist students in these areas and to develop holistically. I have nearly twenty years’ experience teaching Physical Education at the elementary level and have continued in this position at AISK since 2005. I hold a Diploma in Physical Education, a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Middle Grades Education and a Master of Science (MSc.) in Sports Administration.

Having been at AISK for more than 16 years, I enjoy working with the small classes, which I believe enables the students to express themselves and maximize their potential for learning. Additionally, my passion for healthy living and being active allows me to thoroughly enjoy teaching and sharing this interest with students.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family members and friends, as well as listening to audio books and watching documentaries.

In such a community, we are all inspired and empowered to learn, to grow, and to serve. Welcome to AISK!

I have been the Administrative Assistant to the Middle & High School Principal since 2014. I have a Degree in Management with a minor in Marketing from the University of Technology. I spent most of my working life in Human Resources in the Manufacturing & Finance sector and have happily moved to the Educational sector since 2008.

Having been at AISK for the past 6 years I marvel at just how important the environment and encouragement of teachers can make a significant difference in the learning for a student. I think AISK provides that environment where our students are allowed to be their best selves resulting in student confidence that makes all the difference. A rigid space does not work for everyone and genuine student care is important. This is what inspires me. That I can be here to make the learning experience different or better for my students gets me excited to don my “Mother Hen hat” and just be there. I truly love my job!!

One interesting fact about me is that I love love love to dance. Reading and Sewing are my favorite hobbies.
