“We do not grow into creativity,
we grow out of it"
- Ken Robinson, Educator
Visual Arts at AISK offers our children a language through which they are able to express their individual voice. Through the creative process students learn to question, think independently, play, imagine, visualize, and seek unusual solutions to problems in their own unique way. The study of the Visual Arts serves to enrich all facets of our students' lives.
The Visual Arts curriculum supports the young artist in developing their personal vision and technical abilities through experimentation with a variety of media. Our program emphasizes artistic thinking and the development of creative ideas, giving all the capacity to develop, rather than just the “talented" few. Problem solving, critical thinking and experimentation with processes respective to the medium, build the foundation for aesthetic thinking. Students may take classes in art history, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and more.
