At AISK we have three distinct paths to choose from that have proven to get students into the colleges and universities of their choice. All graduates of AISK earn a U.S. Diploma; this forms the foundation for the qualifications needed to get into a university in the USA, Canada, or Europe.

AISK also offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP), an extraordinary and challenging two-year curriculum for students in grades 11 and 12. IBDP balances rigorous academic work, with requirements that push students outside the classroom into community service, creativity, and group activity.

Our three unique paths allow students to focus solely on the U.S. diploma, earn an IBDP certificate by taking select courses, or earn their IBDP diploma, potentially shaving an entire year off of their college career.

Path 1

This path allows students to focus on high school courses with a high GPA on their transcript. Students prepare for SAT and SAT Subject Tests or the ACT test. They have more capacity to participate in extracurricular activities, community service, and exploring their broadening interests. Art students may compile a portfolio; drama students may take part in productions and further hone that craft; and developing athletes may gain tournament experience while sharpening their skills.

Students will earn/complete:
●      US High School Diploma
●      High School GPA
●      SAT/ACT
●      SAT Subject Test

The advantage is:
●      A broad curriculum for those who have not yet decided on a specific major or career path
●      No high stakes exams
●      No need for transcript interpretation by admission offices

Path 2

Path two allows students to build on path one requirements by choosing specific subjects to study at the IB level. This provides them with a distinct advantage in specific majors that may require strong passes in specified subjects for acceptance, such as chemistry and physics for engineering.

Students will earn/complete:
●      US High School Diploma
●      High School GPA
●      SAT/ACT
●      SAT Subject Test
●      IB Certificate
The advantage is:
●      University credit for specific subjects
●      Added rigor increases students competitive edge in the college admissions process
●      The broad curriculum suits students who have not yet decided on a specific major or career path

Path 3

Students who choose path three will benefit from the further development of research and analytical skills that will give them an overall advantage in all subject areas. This path is for the more academically motivated student, as time dedication is required. The course produces a student that has an incredible work ethic, works well under pressure, is a deep analytical thinker, a problem solver and cares what happens in the world around them.

Students will earn/complete:
●      US High School Diploma
●      High School GPA
●      SAT/ACT
●      SAT Subject Test
●      IB Diploma
The advantage is:
●      Preparation for college level courses and load
●      The opportunity to complete an academic research paper, with guidance, prior to going to college
●      Advanced placement potential up to as much as their freshman year in university
