About AISK

Welcome to AISK's website.

As we begin the re-opening of the campus after closure due to COVID-19, we do so with excitement, trepidation and confidence.  Confidence in these unusual times comes by knowing we have the plans in place, outstanding educators and staff who are resilient, committed to safety, hardworking and adaptable.

Communication is key, and especially so as we navigate through uncertain times.  We are proud of how, through COVID, our communications have been thorough, regular and consistent.  Our communication to our stakeholders is important, and we are not afraid of over-communicating.

As we bring students back to face-to-face learning, it is essential that we take care of their social and emotional well-being.  Our teachers know and understand that students can only thrive academically if their heart, soul and emotional safety is at ease.

Our resilient community bode well during Distance Learning and I am confident that we have set a strong foundation that will get us through 2020-21, no matter what is thrown our way.  The development of patience, flexibility and keeping an open mind, with trust, helps our community and I encourage parents and families to celebrate and build such attributes with children and adolescents.

Integrity is a core value of AISK and at this time more than ever, is this attribute more important.  For both families and students and the school community.  Trust will protect our health, honesty will help our students reach higher levels, and taking responsibility for your actions will help to learn from mistakes.

Students cannot thrive unless they know they are cared for.

Students reach greater heights when they know the adults around them hold them accountable and believe in possibilities.

Students rely on the adults in their lives to create the best environment for learning.

Students do not get to choose to underachieve.

Students have a voice and they have things to say and want to be heard.

I look forward to seeing you on campus and I'm thrilled that you are a part of our AISK Family.
