ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
On PE days, elementary school students are permitted to wear their PE uniforms all day.

MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL
The physical education uniform is only to be worn during physical education classes or during special events such as sports days. Students may arrive at school in this uniform if their first class is physical education. Students may wear the physical education uniform when leaving AISK if they had physical education during their last class of the day. The physical education uniform is the same for boys and girls:

SWIM KIT

All AISK students participate in AISK's aquatics program and are required to purchase the AISK swim kit.

On occasion, school days are declared to be non-uniform. On these days dress must be clean, modest and appropriate; all rules for normal uniform days apply here (shoes, jewelry, hair, makeup) with the only exceptions of color and style. It is important to recognize that school is a place of learning. 

Prom, School Dances, and Semi-Formal functions are considered special events; we remind you to be modest in the selection of a dress or outfit

IS YOUR DEVICE SCHOOL READY?

Laptops must be brought to the IT Help Desk for AISK network preparation between before the first day of school. The laptop will be prepared to access the network services e.g. printing and file-sharing. Students will be assigned school email address and logins to school software.

Parents should also note that they will need access to a computer in order to log on to our various e-resources.  Login ID and passwords can be obtained from the IT Coordinator Jared Rodgers at jrodgers@aisk.com.  As previously mentioned, all information regarding your child can be found through our e-resources and, in particular, Schoology.  Jared Rodgers is the person to help you with Login information for this resource as well.

DEPOSITS TO SCHOOL’S BANK ACCOUNT

Deposits to secure your child/ren's seat are due 7 days after receipt of the acceptance letter. Final payments for the first semester are due on Friday, July 15, 2024. Final payments for the second semester are due on Friday, December 9, 2024.

Vouchers for payment will be available at the branches in Kingston. Please request a voucher from the receptionist at the bank. Please write your child/ren’s names on the voucher and once paid, please return the school’s copy to the Operations Director, Ingrid Fitt. We do not accept cash payments for tuition at the front office.

Cheques not negotiable in Jamaica

Payments being made via cheques drawn on a Foreign Bank MUST be submitted to the Business Manager.

CREDIT CARDS

We accept Visa and Mastercard. There is a service charge of 3% applied to all transactions. All credit cards MUST be run in the business office. 

What time does New Student Orientation start?

New Grade 11 and 12 students will start school on Monday, August 15 and their orientation will be at 7:30AM.

New EYP to Grade 10 students, orientation will be on Tuesday, August 16 at the following times:

Grades 3 - 5 : 10:15AM - 10:40AM
Kindergarten - Grade 2 : 10:40AM - 11:05AM
EYP : 11:05AM - 11:30AM
Grades 6 - 10 : 11:30AM - 12:00PM
 

What do students wear to Orientation?

Students are asked to come to orientation dressed appropriately in street clothes.

Are parents expected to stay for the orientation?

Yes. Parents are expected to stay for the orientation as the information is necessary for the smooth integration of students and their families into the AISK community.
