The AISK uniform code and guidelines has been updated, but the following items not being permitted remains the same. 

The following items are NOT permitted:

-    Cargo shorts or pants
-    Joggers
-    Leggings or Tights
-    Sweatpants
-    Polos that are too short to be tucked in (if necessary)
-    Skirts/skorts more than 2” above the knee

NOTE: Leggings and tights are not permitted even on Dress Down  Days

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
On PE days, elementary school students are permitted to wear their PE uniforms all day.

MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL
The physical education uniform is only to be worn during physical education classes or during special events such as sports days. Students may arrive at school in this uniform if their first class is physical education. Students may wear the physical education uniform when leaving AISK if they had physical education during their last class of the day. The physical education uniform is the same for boys and girls:

SWIM KIT

All AISK students participate in AISK's aquatics program and are required to purchase the AISK swim kit.

FOR ALL STUDENTS:

Students will require the following which must be clearly labeled and in a suitable bag.

• An AISK one-piece swimsuit or trunks/shorts with swim shirt (black or navy only). Please note that if your child does not have AISK swimwear from Land’s End, navy or black swimwear is acceptable   
• Brush or comb (optional)
• Lotion (optional) 
• Goggles (a must to avoid eye irritation)
• Swim cap 
• Bag for wet swimwear
• Flip flops or crocs 
• Sun block should be applied at home
• Towel 

The mandatory items are only available at Western Sports and the optional rash guards can be found at Lands End.

If you already have a Mailpac account, you can ship your items to your Mailpac account and benefit from the special AISK uniform pricing structure. Once your item has shipped, please send an email to mailpacinfo@aeropost.com with a copy of your tracking number as well as your invoice.

We can place the order on your behalf!
You can visit any of our Mailpac locations and our shopping desk assistant will help you place your order. Our Head Office is located at 109 Old Hope Road, which is a 5-minute drive from AISK. 

How much will I pay for my item?
The total purchase price for your uniforms will be the sum of:

The shipping and clearance cost (Mailpac has created a special pricing structure for AISK where each item is only US$4.00 to ship, clear and deliver to you)

Given that Mailpac is separating your shipments into individual items, the $4.00 charge will cover all duty charges and processing fees related to your shipment.

What if I don’t have a Lands End account?
If you don’t have a Lands End account, you have two options:

1. You can sign up for one, but remember to ensure that the shipping country says the United States.
2. You can come to any of our locations, and we will place the order on your behalf.

How long will my items take to arrive?
Items should take  between 3 - 5 working days to arrive in Jamaica and be ready for pickup from the time it reaches your Mailpac address in Miami.

On occasion, school days are declared to be non-uniform. On these days dress must be clean, modest and appropriate; all rules for normal uniform days apply here (shoes, jewelry, hair, makeup) with the only exceptions of color and style. It is important to recognize that school is a place of learning. 

Prom, School Dances, and Semi-Formal functions are considered special events; we remind you to be modest in the selection of a dress or outfit

IS YOUR DEVICE SCHOOL READY?

Laptops must be brought to the IT Help Desk for AISK network preparation between before the first day of school. The laptop will be prepared to access the network services e.g. printing and file-sharing. Students will be assigned school email address and logins to school software.

Parents should also note that they will need access to a computer in order to log on to our various e-resources.  Login ID and passwords can be obtained from the IT Department at techsupport@aisk.com.  As previously mentioned, all information regarding your child can be found through our e-resources and, in particular, Schoology.  

DEPOSITS TO SCHOOL’S BANK ACCOUNT

Deposits to secure your child/ren's seat are due 7 days after receipt of the acceptance letter. Final payments for the first semester are due on Friday, July 12, 2024. Final payments for the second semester are due on Friday, December 6, 2024.

Vouchers for payment will be available at the branches in Kingston. Please request a voucher from the receptionist at the bank. Please write your child/ren’s names on the voucher and once paid, please return the school’s copy to the Operations Director, Ingrid Fitt. We do not accept cash payments for tuition at the front office.

Cheques not negotiable in Jamaica

Payments being made via cheques drawn on a Foreign Bank MUST be submitted to the Business Manager.

CREDIT CARDS

We accept Visa and Mastercard. There is a service charge of 3% applied to all transactions. All credit cards MUST be run in the business office. 

What time does New Student Orientation start?

New Student Orientation Registration begins at 7:30 am with the first session beginning at 9:30 am, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.

What do students wear to Orientation?

Students are asked to come to orientation dressed appropriately in street clothes.

Are parents expected to stay for the orientation?

Yes. Parents are expected to stay for the orientation as the information is necessary for the smooth integration of students and their families into the AISK community.
