The American International School of Kingston (AISK) is an independent private school in the capital city of Kingston, Jamaica. AISK offers education from the Early Development and pre-kindergarten years through to Grade 12 in a US-based education style.

The American International School of Kingston serves the educational needs of not only Jamaicans but many international families who live and reside in Kingston Jamaica. Located in the largest and fastest-growing city on the island, our community enjoys a diversified economic base.

Diversity is reflected not only in the student body but also in the staff/administration. There is a blending of 52 national and international educators - 31 teachers or 60% are Jamaican, 7 teachers or 13% are American and 14 teachers or 27% are third-country nationals from Canada, UK, Australia, The Netherlands, Cuba, Grenada and Germany. 43 out of 52 educators, or 83% have earned a Masters or PhD degree.

CALENDAR

The school calendar includes two  semesters. Semester 1 starts in August and ends in January. Semester 2 commences in January and finishes in June. Total school days are 181. The school day starts at 7:45 AM and ends at 3:00 PM for all students.
