The American International School of Kingston (AISK) is an international school with an American standards-based curriculum. Our clearly articulated standards and age appropriate benchmarks fit our diverse and unique student body of college-bound students. Our passionate and knowledgeable faculty engages students using a variety of techniques such as self-directed, cooperative and problem-based learning to enable students to want to learn and keep learning.

Learning is the essence of everything we do at AISK and our curriculum is the path we follow to make it happen. We view development and review of the curriculum as on ongoing process and maintain a current written curriculum. All teachers at AISK treat curriculum as a living document, continuously reviewing the latest research and incorporating best practices. We work together to ensure a cohesive academic program throughout all subject areas and grades.

Our school is an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme school and we offer a variety of IB subjects from Mandarin ab initio to Economics and Biology. Our IB classes in grades eleven and twelve offer students the opportunity to engage in an internationally recognized and challenging program.

Our 1:1 laptop program extends from grades six to twelve and enables the students and teachers to access the curriculum using state of the art technology. Technology is an essential part of a 21st-century education and it is transforming student access to learning opportunities. We believe that technology enables our students to reach higher and that the best results come from a blended learning approach - incorporating a combination of traditional and virtual education. With the quick pace of change in the technological and information age, we strive to provide a quality educational experience.
