The Belvedere Program

AISK boarders have up to four hours of supervised study time each day and the residential staff on duty is available to assist students with general homework and community-based projects during these study times. Tutoring is provided upon request, and wireless internet connectivity facilitates school work for all residents. A quiet study hall with a desk assigned to each student for the duration of their stay is provided to develop and instill a strong and disciplined work ethic within each student.  

AISK believes a small boarding environment of 20 students provides for the ultimate learning, living, care and safety of our boarding students. Our in-house vision is to promote the following:

Friendships.

Lifelong friendships are made with students and staff through participation in our programs. Students feel a real sense of belonging and connection to their friends, school and teachers.

Academic Excellence.

AISK offers a challenging academic program, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) in particularly small class sizes. Supervised evening study, a learning centre, ESL programs and resident advisors ensure students achieve their academic goals.

Personal Responsibility.

Residents are supported in making ethical and responsible decisions. The residential curriculum teaches time management, organization, independence and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Our boarders develop self-confidence and motivation.

Citizenship.

AISK teaches global citizenship through community service and environmental sustainability activities. We embrace and celebrate world cultures, religions and languages through community service and project-based learning.

Passion.

AISK boarding is designed to help students pursue or discover their passion. Unique opportunities in sports, music, arts, service work, leadership and outdoors are offered across Jamaica.

We are excited and passionate to provide the best boarding experience in the Caribbean at AISK, where the melding of nationalities and the presence of so many different cultures are complimented by the rich and diverse culture that Jamaica has to offer.

Not only is Jamaica a beautiful island destination with many incredible beaches and mountains, it also boasts a vibrant culture of visual and performing arts, music, and sports with many academic opportunities and the perfect environment within which students are empowered to learn and grow.
