Standardized Testing: SAT/ACT

Colleges use standardized test scores to augment the information they receive from transcripts and recommendation letters, to learn more about each applicant's overall level of achievement, and in some cases to expand assess the students' knowledge in a specific subject area.

Students are responsible for knowing which tests are required by each of their colleges and should work with their counselor during junior year to plan an individual testing timetable.

SAT/ACT

AIM Educational Services is AISK's official SAT/ACT preparation provider to all students from grades 10-12. Students have the option of enrolling in either the fall course (August); aimed at preparing 12th graders for the November test date, or the spring course (January); aimed at preparing 11th graders for the May test date.

The course includes thirteen 150-minute instructional sessions and 10 mock exams that are proctored under test-like conditions, for students to gain realistic test-taking practice. Students receive personalized feedback on each test and all students are provided with an Official SAT Study Guide.

Through AIM's comprehensive and practical approach, AISK's students have raised their scores by hundreds of points, resulting in a class average SAT score of 1950. To register for your SAT course please see the AIM office situated in AISK's front office building, or visit them online at www.aimeduservices.com for further information. The SAT prep program does incur a separate cost outside of AISK's normal tuition and therefore parents are responsible for all costs to AIM Educational Services. All SAT classes are held on the AISK campus.
