Welcome to the American International School of Kingston; here at AISK, we are dedicated to helping students reach their highest potential academically while encouraging them to maintain healthy physical and emotional lives.

The department of Student Support & Advising Services is committed to supplying students with opportunities to be successful in school as well as in life after AISK.  We support the academic program in the elementary, middle, high schools and assist students as they adapt to new and developing circumstances that challenge their growth as they progress through each grade.

In all divisions in addition to faculty, we have a Student Support Team that consists of homeroom teachers, the English as a Additional Language Specialist & the Resource Specialist who are located in the Center for Academic Innovation; the 6-12 School Counselor and an Elementary Counseling intern who support students both emotionally and academically.  Together we offer students services in the following forms: individual counseling, classroom guidance, college counseling, remedial instruction, and enrichment opportunities.

The Student Support Team seeks to discover exceptional strategies and solutions that will enable all students to be successful at AISK. Simultaneously, we attempt to focus on students’ responsibilities as learners and communicate in ways that are consistent with this goal. This year we made an important revision to our program by combining the IB Coordinator position with School Counseling; in this way I can focus on the pastoral component of the IB program to make sure that students are in the correct classes and are receiving guidance and support throughout the two years of the IB Diploma Programme. We believe that this change will increase the level of success our students have with the IB Programme as well as continue the success that our  students have achieved in regards to a high percentage of college admissions and scholarships.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at   This email address is being protected from spambots.
